Well, that checklist did a fat lot of good didn't it?
Basically got stumped on Eldrus, SoS dried out, and Mercy seemed wrong cos of stuff. Been writing less too because of holidays, and because I want to prioritise art practice a little more.
Don't enjoy saying that. I hate it when someone's series petters out. Especially mine. So apologies for letting folk down.
Currently I've been exploring the idea of redoing older stories- Freedom and Emergence- maybe even writing something about the Revealers. Cos, c'mon, entire masquerade being broken and we only see the tip of the iceburg? Probably worth a tale.
When I started out I was...uh... "writing by the seat of my pants", just threw ideas out and chased them down with vague plans but nothing solid. Was fun, but a little less through out. A redo would refine those, get rid of plot holes, improve them, make sense with hindsight, make the world seem like it didn't start on Hex yet it would draw comparisons, be lacking in surprises, and need to be fully done or not at all.
So I'm not saying that's gonna happen, I don't want to give false hopes but I guess this is better to put up than leaving the checklist.
Again, apologies and don't count on anything for a couple of weeks,

My "tree" of potential turtle evolutions is kinda hilariously broad. Want to see an alternate evolution for baby Sheltur, lil Shortoise, or old Shrubsage?

Heyall. So my daily drawing challenge did not last long- crashed really sick on sunday, but slowly been getting over it. Had time to sit and stew and brainstorm, and think I've more or less landed on a plan for the next few chapters again. Not sure how much writing I'll get done like this, but fun to get me in the mood, and a friend sent me some setting questions, which seem fun so here's some Q and A, and feel free to send other Questions! Are greek myth style cyclopses a thing? -In a style. I'd probably design them as asymmetrical, with some goat features like Harryhausen, and in the... big person range but not building sized. Like goliaths! What are some of the biggest class Cs? -Straight up answer- Kraken, bigger than whales. I imagine there's a bunch of big mystics down in the sea, leaning into lovecraft territory just from lack of connection to the surface world. On the surface, stuff like dragons, hydra, ammit, catoblepas, grootslang, average out around hippo to elephant

Happy New Year folks, hope you have a great one and enjoyed the holidays and a Merry Christmas. Looking into the new year, going to try and keep some momentum on writing Emergence anew, but also going to have a few other projects on the go, including dnd, art, and hopefully some animatics or animations.

Not much else to say! Chapter 33 will be rather delayed, we're closing in on some stuff I've been excited for since the rewrite began.

If you can't continue a series, that's fine. If you aren't really feeling it, the quality of he work goes down. I personally think that your writing is muh better than most on this website, but if you are disinterested in writing something it shows in the work. Try to take a break from it and if one day you get struck with inspiration, come back to it. I'm certain we can all wait patiently till then.
